Our Road Trip Home to England

Image
So after packing our stuff we headed off on our journey back to the UK, but not before having some more adventures............. We made our journey back to the UK over 3 days, spending our first night in Chartres.  After a long day we just had a picnic tea and then a glass of wine in the bar where I meet a lovely 5 month old German Sheppard called Cleo, she was lovely, but she nearly pulled her mum and dad's table over playing with me.  Oops! We meet up the next morning before we both continued our journeys home, Cleo to Germany and me to England. Here we are saying our goodbyes. Having a cuddle A kiss! Cleo, doesn't want me to leave, she gives me one last hug before we say goodbye! Then Grandad, Mum and I head off to Bruges in Belgium. Mummy, as always, picked us a beautiful hotel which was next to the canal.  I felt very grand staying in a room over two floors and Grandad had a room fit for a king.   The Hotel...

Oh how things change on the last day of the holidays When we arrived, Bear and I ate and drank like royalty Our last nights meal............ We swam But no more  We sunbathed by day But no more, even the sun towels and mats have gone Not even anymore fishing (although I don't think Grandad has fish in his swimming pool) Bear, we might as well pack up and head home

My Holiday Romance

Mum, I've meet this boy.   His name is George, and I meet him at the swimming pool He's asked me out on a date "Well George, are your intentions towards Dotty honourable?" "Oh yes Dotty's mum.  I would like to take her on a petite promenade." And so the date went ahead......... "Dotty you will come back and see me again won't you?"   "Yes, George I'll be back soon."

Refined French Dining

So this is my first holiday to France and of course a chance to enjoy the finer foods in life rather than dog kibble.......... After a hard day of sunbathing and swimming.....  There's nothing nicer than an apertif I could get used to this French way of life. In fact, Bear and I decided to have a quiet night in with some good wine, french brie and cold meats, although Bear opted for his preferred bottle of cider. And boy, this French wine on tap is just a fab idea !  I really should tell my mum!
